The driving force inside RAV4 is an intelligent 2.4 litre twin cam engine that delivers 125kW of power and 224Nm of torque for athletic performance, yet the fuel economy of a high technology four cylinder. Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) ensures it delivers performance and economy. An electronic throttle improves driveability and helps lower emissions, while twin counter rotating balance shafts minimise noise and vibration. Such engineering efforts have resulted in this engine achieving EURO IV emissions regulations, the world’s highest certification level.
But now, Toyota has packed even more into the Special Edition RAV4 ‘Edge’. A premium steering wheel and gear knob dial up the style in the interior. 17” alloy wheels, roof rails and privacy glass ensure the exterior is just as much a traffic stopper. Reverse parking sensors make parking around town a picnic, and a 6 CD audio unit with Bluetooth™(5) capabilities gives every road trip a pumping soundtrack.
